Support the studio
Gargoyle Studios is free for musicians, carries no ads, and tracks nobody. One developer builds it and hosts it. If it's useful to your band, this is where you can help keep it running.
Where the money goes
- Hosting. The site runs on a machine that stays on for your sessions, with its domain, bandwidth and backups. The sound libraries alone are 70 MB per first visit.
- A certificate and a proper server once the trial outgrows one PC.
- Time. Every feature here, from the tuner to the studio, was built in evenings and weekends.
What it doesn't buy
Nothing in the app. Trophies, rig slots, skins and band features are earned by playing and can't be bought, and that stays true for people who donate. A donation is a thank-you, not a subscription.
Ways to chip in
Donation details are on their way. For now, the best support is telling a band about the site and sending feedback from the trial.
Prefer to help another way? Bring your band, report what's unclear or broken, and tell a musician who'd use it. During the trial that's worth more than money.
